Travel agencies laud presidency decision on stopping collection of ill
|
Khartoum-The travel agencies operating in Haj and Umra have commended the Presidency decision on banning illegal fees. Head of Alhadeega agency for travel and tourism Jamal Abdelrahman has said in a press conference at Tayba press that the Committee on banning illegal fees has advocated the citizens, and confirmed the illegality of the fees being collected by the General Directorate of Haj and Umra. He called for immediate investigations with the director of the Haj and Umra Directorate into the fees that have been collected illegally. He called for refunding those paid the illegal fees, and for determining the legal fees the agencies should pay. He announced a discount by 500 Sudanese pounds as a gift for those who are doing umra. He expressed thanks to the Presidency of the republic, the committee on prevention of illegal fees, chief of Security and Intelligence Service and the media outlets for their role in briefing the public opinion on the facts.
