Russian company confirms existence of huge amounts of oil and gas in S

Khartoum-Russia’s Cyberia Company for oil and gas has announced existence of huge amounts of oil and gas in Sudan. The Chairman of the company’s board of directors Vladmir Dokv has said that they made integrated study on Sudan by Russian scientists who confirmed presence of oil and gas in different parts of the country in huge amounts that could contribute in developing the country. This came in a meeting between the Sudanese Oil Minister, Makawi Mohamed Awad, and the Chairman of the Board of directors of the Russian company Vladimir Dokv. Dokv expressed strong desire of his company to invest in exploration of oil and gas in Sudan in a number of oil blocks using new Russian technology that reduces the cost of oil and gas construction and the duration of work. He, further, made an offer to establish a modern factory for producing exploration equipments. On his part, the Sudanese Oil Minister Engineer Makawi Mohamed Awad has welcomed the interest of the Russian company to invest in oil in Sudan, affirming readiness to extend necessary support toward a partnership that serves the interests of both sides. The Russian company is on the list of the companies of the Sudanese-Russian cooperation protocol that took place in December 15-18, and has several agreements on minerals in Sudan.
