Sudan plans to held the Tripartite Commission meeting in October
Khartoum-The spokesman of Egypt's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Khalid Wasif, disclosed on Sunday that his Ministry had received a proposal from its Sudanese counterpart on schedule of the expected trilateral meeting among the Nile basin water Ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, in the second half of October. He said that the schedule will be subjected to study of each State according to its circumstances, pointing out that the concerned departments in Egypt's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation are still studying the appropriate timing for the meeting during that period at the end of October. At a joint press conference held in Addis Ababa in June , Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Minister, Tedros Adhanom, and his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Kamel Amr said they have agreed to launch further consultations to resolve existing differences and misunderstandings over Ethiopia’s giant Nile Dam project. Accordingly, foreign ministers of Ethiopia and Egypt along with Sudan’s will conduct further consultations at both technical and political level so as the countries particularly Egypt implements the final findings and recommendations forwarded by the international panel of experts.
