Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab partner to invest in Sudan: Sudan official says
Khartoum-Sudan's Minister of Investment at the Supreme Investment Council, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, has praised the Saudi investments in Sudan and described them as "successful", stressing that Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab partner to invest in Sudan, where its investments cover agricultural, industrial and business sectors. In a statement to Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on Monday, Ismail said that his visit to Saudi Arabia came at the invitation of the Saudi Higher Education Minister, pointing out to the role of Saudi universities in support of International University of Africa in Khartoum through establishment of infrastructure and the recent academic development. Ismail revealed that Saudi Arabia has decided to provide annual scholarships to students of International University of Africa, noting that this step comes under the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz which reflects his interest in supporting education in the Arab and African worlds. He said that the meeting with the Saudi Minister addressed the issues of education in the Arab and Islamic worlds and to exchange views and discuss this area and continued support to the international University of Africa
