Sudan demands US to be removed from the State sponsors of terrorism list Khartoum-Sudan's Foreign Affairs Ministry has called on American administration to lift the country from the U.S list of State sponsors of terrorism, pointing out that U.S. State Department annual reports on terrorism in the world confirm that Sudan has no any link with terrorism. During his meeting with the new US Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan, Donald Booth on Sunday, Sudan's Foreign Affairs Ministry Uundersecretary, Rahamtalla Mohamed Osman stressed that Sudan's record is free of any relations to terrorism, which necessitates the US to fulfill its commitments in this respect and remove Sudan from that list. Osman said that Khartoum's government expects the new U.S. Envoy to present an integrated vision about his mission and the new offer that can contribute to pushing forward the relations of the two countries, adding that his country did not see any positive impact of dealing with U.S special envoys, which raises the question about feasibility of adopting envoys as a means to manage the two countries ' relations. Sudanese diplomat indicated that Sudan and South Sudan have made considerable progress in dealing with the outstanding issues between them and the mechanisms agreed to solve the remaining issues would lead to practical steps in resolving stalemates problems on different issues.
